The SM7 is a DIN rail mounting 2 wire radio data modem, with multiple channels, able to act as a point to point, or point to multiple device.
It has in-built error correction and is most often used within factories, linking buildings or vehicles to a remote data source.

Applikationer
The SM7 is perfect for applications where you need to send data to a remote device and wiring the two together is not convenient. Examples include sending weight data from a mobile crane to a central logging device, fork lift operator display updating from a warehouse controller, etc.
The units support ModBus and can also be used to transmit logic status, such as pushbutton actions, by using our PSC1 logic compressor and logic expander. This is useful in applications where you may have a long production line, with many operator workstations, and you want to allow the operators to signal faults or help-requests.
Their button presses can be sent to a large overhead traffic light system to immediately alert the production supervisor or maintenance staff of a problem. The SM7 allows this to be achieved without complex wiring.
